Antique Bohemian Glass Carnelian-Simulant Teardrop Trade Beads

A continuous strand of antique Bohemian glass trade beads, featuring a transverse-drilled teardrop profile with marbled inclusions designed to simulate natural carnelian. HO Note: It was a real triumph back in the day to simulate gemstones – which were costly at the time – and the Bohemians and Italians did it best, these being very small examples of the beads used to trade with nations far and wide in the 19th century. Finally, this piece is a bit of an enigma because it doesn’t have a clasp, so you will need to make sure your head/hand/ankle fits within the dimensions – future life could even be reused as components in a new design (or store for collectible appreciation/investment!).
